ê•¥ ORIGINSê•¥

ê•¥ Lost and Found ê•¥

Many had suspected he was born in the far east. His accent certainly matched that of Doman, yet he carried himself with oddities that reached farther beyond. To everyone's surprise, however, Tsumoi confesses he was "raised" in the capital of Ul'dah.

"When they found me, they said I came with the name..".

Found by an elderly Lalafellin couple as a "kit", they raised him as their own until their passing when he reached his adolescent years. Upon discovering that his odd traits were that of Au Ra and Viera origin, Tsumoi made it his sole goal in life to find his heritage. And perhaps... his sires, if they still lived.

ê•¥ The Fiesty Opo-opo ê•¥

Some would assume they are under "agreeable terms" or a "contract" of some sort. Tsumoi never saw it as such. Their meeting was opportunistic at best. Young and naive, Tsumoi managed to get lost while exploring the wilds of Upper La Nozcea. His poor attempt at finding a ship to Hingashi led to him begin founds by a hungry coeurl. And for the first time, Tsumoi thought.. this was it. This is how he dies. But then, something falls from the trees above! An opo-opo.. such a tiny one, too. Yet, there it stood, head held high, between him and the massive coeurl. One bite is all it would take.

It was the first time Tusmoi ever held a dagger in his hands. But also, the first time he no longer felt fear. And when the coeurl attacked, Tsumoi was shocked to see the opo-opo aim for the beast's eyes. So he, in turn, aimed for its throat.

"Since then.. we've always been together."

ê•¥ The Buduga Tribe ê•¥

Reaching the Azim Steppes, Tsumoi was overwhelmed with not only the sight of so many Xaela, but the knowledge that each Xaela came from a different tribe. There are in fact, many tribes; and each tribe had its own customs. However, after finding the courage to speak with multiple Khans, Tsumoi soon found himself.. adopted by the Buduga tribe. They seemed to be one of the few eager to accommodate; albeit he suspected they were more curious of his appearance.

The days may have been hard, but they were worth it if it meant calm evenings. He never grew tired of the stories they shared. The traditions they trusted him with. And the knowledge they offered. Growing up with the tribe for a decade made it all the more hard for Tsumoi to leave. But unfortunately, the tribes knew nothing of Viera culture. Thus, his search had to continue elsewhere. After a couple more years, he made his journey back to Ul'dah.
